The Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD) was previously named the “Registration Division” under the hierarchy of the Central Investigation Bureau. Later on 7 September 2009, it is renamed and given a new mission to be the Consumer Protection Police Division according to the following laws, namely, the Royal Thai Police’s Hierarchical Arrangement Decree B.E. 2552 (2009), Ministerial Rule on Royal Thai Police’s Divisions and Other Units B.E. 2552 (2009) to be the Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD).
– Peace and order keeping
– Crime prevention and suppression
– Legal enforcement according to the Criminal Procedure Code of Thailand
– Inquiry and investigation in criminally punishable acts about consumer protection, Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and jointly operation or support the operations of other related or assigned organizations.
Strategy 1.Respond the policies of the Government and those of the Royal Thai Police.
Strategy 2.Develop the police affairs and operations to be transparent and standardized.
Strategy 3.Create the public participation and the police operation network.
Strategy 4.Create the strength in administration and service.
Sub-Division 4 is responsible for support the operation related to FDA’s affairs all over the Kingdom of Thailand.
